The overarching purpose of the Providence music program is to train and equip children to understand, appreciate, and love music, which is a gift from our Heavenly Father which communicates and demonstrates His love.

As a classical school, we begin by teaching children the skills necessary for their musical development at the grammar stage (K-6th grade). At the logic stage (7th-8th grade), they learn how those skills work together in a musical context. These skills are then developed and honed at the rhetoric level (9th-12th grade) so as to give an enriched musical experience and develop in students a lifelong love of music. Learn how students may letter in music.

“The aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul.” – J.S. Bach
