Sue was born and raised in Seattle. After working at Boeing, she began her teaching career by homeschooling her two youngest children. After that, she realized she loved teaching so much that she went on to get her degree and teaching certification.
Sue has been a substitute teacher for several different Christian schools locally for the past eight years and is thrilled to be a part of the faculty at Providence as the third-grade teacher.
The Owens are members of Bellevue Christian Reformed Church where she has been teaching children’s Sunday school and women’s Bible studies. She has also been involved in children’s music and enjoys being a guitarist on her church’s worship team. In her spare time, she teaches guitar and ukulele.
