Carter was a student at Providence since its very beginning in 1997 and was in the third graduating class in 2007. He graduated from the University of Washington in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a minor in philosophy. Since then he has worked as a software engineer, first for five years at Amazon and later for five years and counting at Microsoft.
Carter is a deacon at Emmanuel Church where he, his wife, Eleya, and their four children are blessed to worship. The two oldest children, Ransom and Sam, attend Providence, following in their father’s footsteps as he follows his own father’s by serving on the Providence board.
