Providence Classical Christian School

Academics

Our vision is to graduate young men and women who are socially graceful, spiritually gracious, and academically curious, equipped to learn and think for themselves according to biblical principles.

The Results

Providence Classical Christian School has adopted a proven model of education that really works. Of all our graduates who have taken the PSAT test during their junior year, approximately 20 percent have been recognized as commended scholars, semifinalist, or scholars under the strict criteria established by the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Another good standardized measurement of educational success is student performance on the annual Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Our seniors regularly score in the top 20 percent of students nationwide, qualifying them for admission to the most prestigious universities. Schools within the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS) consistently score better than students in the nation - for more information see the ACCS website at http://www.accsedu.org/Statistics_at_a_Glance.ihtml?id=291192.

While these academic results are impressive, success can never be summarized in a statistical analysis. The goal of a Providence graduate is not merely intellectual development, nor is it measured by college admissions listings. Throughout their years at Providence students are encouraged to pursue virtue, to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:4-5), and to learn to think and act biblically in all they do. Mind and heart, intelligence and character, academics and virtue – these are the goals for our students at Providence.
