Joseph was blessed to begin teaching History at Providence in the fall of 2007. He has a B.A. in History from Whitworth College, where he also minored in Biblical Studies. After his undergraduate work he served three years as an intern in the College Ministry at Faith Bible Church, in Spokane, WA. He then moved to Southern California, where he attended The Master’s Seminary, eventually receiving a Masters of Divinity degree. While attending seminary, he taught History and Bible at Northridge Community School in Northridge, CA.

Joseph is still madly in love with his wonderful wife Julie, whom he married in 2005. They look forward to the blessing of their first child's arrival in the fall of 2008. They also attend church at Coram Deo Fellowship in Everett, WA. There, they joyfully serve in various ministries and delight in their fellowship with their fellow believers.

Outside of scripture, Joseph finds his greatest inspiration from John Newton and John Piper. He spends his free time reading, serving his wife, and serving his church. He also loves drinking coffee, having purposeful conversations, and watching soccer games.
