Maddy came to Providence, as a parent, in 2004 when her daughter entered the first grade. She began teaching first grade in 2006. She has a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from Eastern Oregon State College. Her husband John is a self employed milkman with Smith Brothers Dairy, and they attend Hope Foursquare Church in Snohomish with their daughter Hailey.
