A life-long Washingtonian, Ryan graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a degree in Business Administration. He received his teaching certificate from Seattle Pacific University, his Master’s degree in Education from Lesley University, and completed the principal’s certification program at Seattle Pacific University. Prior to joining Providence, Ryan taught 6th grade for seven years and served as a middle school administrator for five years.
Ryan’s life-long goals include hitting a hole-in-one, writing a children’s book, discovering a vintage box of unopened baseball cards, and witnessing a World Series victory for the hometown Mariners. His heroes include Rich Mullins, Mildred Taylor, Gene Edward Veith, J. Gresham Machen, and Jessica Fletcher. He and his wife Maely and three children and attend Christ Covenant Church in Lynnwood.
